Farewell November here is to a calm December!

November has been the most trial filled month of the past few years! It started with Grandpa going to heaven. Then ended with a wonderful, sweet funeral for Pappy after he decided to join Grandpa in heaven. I feel so blessed to have had two wonderful grandpas who couldn't have been more different but the same in their love for all of us! I was truly blessed to have been able to spend time with both and say my goodbyes before they passed away. Now that the initial stress, sadness and anger is subsiding I can see the blessing in that opportunity :) One happy moment in November was the success of Jim getting his first Elk during his hunt and now we have a FULL freezer!

So we started December off on a happy note celebrating Mom's birthday with a trip on the Polar Express. I didn't know what Ember would think of the whole thing but she was very excited and even liked Santa! She is walking around with the bell he gave her and tells me all about him giving it to her! She is growing up WAY too fast! I mailed out her 2nd birthday invitations today and we had our first movie date to see Tangled! She is talking in full sentences and has become quiet bossy. Yesterday she was in trouble for coming over to me on the couch and saying, "Mama, you no sit here, I sit here you get down now!" that was after we had an argument that went something like this, "Mama, wheres my baba?" " I don't know Ember what did you do with it?" "Mama, you have it!" "No I don't Ember." "Mama, where is it, you have it! I have it?" "Ember I don't have it you go find it!" "Mama, You find it now and then I have it!".......guess who won? Yeah I went and found it and she got it :( One point Ember!

So up next on the Gypsy Train is Jim's 30th Birthday which we have jointly decided to celebrate in January so he gets a real celebration not a rushed Christmas time one :) That is followed by Ember's 2nd Birthday party and then Christmas in Flagstaff! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

Halloween and Fall

We have had a great time enjoying the better weather here in Phoenix! We took Ember to a pumpkin patch in Scottsdale and went on a wagon and picked a few pumpkins. Then we headed up to Flagstaff and went to Pinewood's halloween festival so we could spend Halloween with daddy! This week we had our best friends Sammie and Kaiya down for a sleep over while Jim worked. Our next adventure is off to Atlanta to honor Grandpa and see the Finney family. We will post pictures when we get home!

September Activites

We had a busy September and October hasn't been any calmer! We moved, mommy left the family to go to Atlanta, and this week celebrated Jim's dad's 72nd birthday! We also have been enjoying the cooler weather, we even got a hike in! As you maybe noticed there is a half naked picture of Ember! I wanted to share her new favorite hobby......half taking off her clothes :( Hope you are all doing well!

Birthday Weekend

We had a wonderful birthday weekend! My wonderful family pitched in a got me an awesome fancy new camera! Ember has gotten to see all of her friends and both sets of grandparents this week so she has been very spoiled! On my birthday we went to this gym that has an open gym for kiddos and Ember loved it! Then we had a BBQ with friends and finished the weekend at Buddy and Pappys! As you can tell in the picture Ember wasn't too thrilled with the "happy cake", I thought it was delicious!This week Jim's parents came down to check out our new house and see Ember. Jim is back at work and Ember and I are busy breaking in the new house!

Paramedic Daulton is in the house :)

After a long 9 months Jim and I are so happy to share the news that Jim is officially a Paramedic! He worked very hard and is so excited to have passed the very difficult National Registry Exam for Paramedics! Thanks for all the well wishes and support! I'm so proud of you Jim!

Children's Museum with Mamaw

Sorry for the lack of pictures and posts. Now that Ember is super mobile she is impossible to catch with the camera! We have been busy this summer trying to entertain her indoors since it is miserable outside! When Jim's mom came to visit we thought we would take her down and show her the Children's Museum. We had a blast! Right now we are busy packing and moving so when we get all settled we will send pictures! Love you all!

A day in the life of Ember Grace aka Sparky

This is a preview of what a typical day in the life of Ember includes:

I eat whatever I want today it was potato chips, I also wear my hair however I want this is the after ponytail look!

When I get bored after waiting 2 hours at the doctors office I wear my shorts on my head, also note mommy and daddy gave in and let me have my "baba"!

And when I am really bored or cranky I do this with daddy!

Mickey Mouse Party and Vegas Baby!

We spent the weekend in Flag for Dad and Annalise's birthday party then Jim and I were off to Vegas to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary!

Ember loved the party but had a hard time understanding why the presents weren't for her!

Our wonderful Pappy treated us to a gorgeous room at Caesars! We had the best trip Jim and I have ever had alone! We gambled and broke even, which was great for us! And we treated ourselves to the Cirque Du Soleil show Mystere! It was an awesome experience! Thanks Pappy for the room and thanks Mom and Dad for watching Ember!

Happy 4th of July

We had a wonderful holiday! My parents came down to join me and Ember for the Anthem festivities, which were Ember's first experience with fireworks! She did better than I expected! She was mostly scared by the car parked in front of us whose alarm went off everytime a loud firework went off! After leaving and she was done crying all she did was talk about the "stars" that went boom! Today Jim and I took Ember to the Children's Museum and Ember had a blast! Hope you all had a great holiday weekend!

Kansas Finneys Visit Arizona!

Jen, Cailin and Mckenna drove with mom from Kansas to Albuquerque for Isaac's baptism. After a round of yucky flu at our house we decided to not bring the Anthem flu to Albuquerque and unfortunately missed the baptism. After the weekend in NM the girls headed to Flagstaff. We all had fun and the girls got along great! We spent some time at the park when Cailin wasn't sick with the Kansas flu :( After a few days in Flagstaff we all headed down to Anthem to play at the waterpark and we all spent a great morning at The Phoenix Children's Museum. Thanks for coming to visit Kansas Finneys! We love you!
