Ember is Binky Free!!

We had the "joy" of taking away Ember's "baba" this month. Instead of just taking it away cold turkey we decided it would be better to just cut of the tip and see if she noticed. Well that was stupid she noticed right away and screamed that her "baba broke!" So we changed our game plan and told her that when she was done being a baby and grew into a big girl that all her "babas" broke. She accepted that explanation and didn't place the blame on us but she was devastated! We spent the first week spending 1-2 hours listening to her scream herself to sleep at night while preggo mommy was about to lose it as well! But somehow with the disgusting premonition of Ember's gross food covered binky being swapped with my helpless tiny babie's in August I stuck to my guns with lots of support from Daddy and Buddy and didn't give in! So after a few days of holding the broken "baba" I told her she could trade her broken binky for a something. She decided she would like to have a Cinderella Happy Cake! So after a week when she was sleeping, on occasion, with only a few minutes of crying, we made her some delicious gluten free cupcakes with a Cinderella on top!

4 months pregnant!

Ok here is the first picture I have taken where you can actually tell I am pregnant! I am finally feeling better! YAY! But getting some wicked headaches at the end of the day :( I am not feeling the baby quite yet but I'm hoping that changes soon! The exciting news is that at the end of the month we get to find out the gender of the baby! We will keep you all posted!

What we have been up to!

As you can see Ember likes to be nakey! :)

The kiddos having a movie night!

Sorry we have not posted anything since January! We have been spending our time doing some not so fun things. Lets start with Jim. Jim has had knee surgery on BOTH of his knees this month. After a long time of pain and some swollen knees him and his surgeon decided he needed to have a repair surgery done on both knees. He has been home recovering and trying to make it to work when he can to do office work, which we appreciate, so that maybe he will have some vacation left for when the baby comes! So right now he is busy doing physical therapy to get back to his active self!

I haven't been in much better shape. As with the last time I was pregnant the first trimester and me are enemies! So after 12 weeks of puking and feeling pretty much miserable I was really looking forward to the heavenly moment I had with Ember's pregnancy when I woke up and felt awesome. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. So here I am almost 15 weeks not throwing up as much, but now feeling light headed and dizzy all day. Oh the joys of motherhood.
So needless to say after having two gimpy parents Ember has been enjoying a lot of time with both sets of grandparents! And we appreciate all the help they have all given us!
Also in the past month we had a visit from the Albuquerque Finney's up at Buddy and Pappy's house.
What's next for the Anthem Daultons is more rest, hopefully some lifted spirits, nice warm weather here in the desert (80 degrees tomorrow!) and a spring with less injury and sickness!

Hope you are all doing well!
